Key Responsibilities
Lead a team of advanced technical support and engineers/developers in the areas of systems, services, and architecture for a wireless (LTE, WiFi, Small Cell), wireline (FTTx, backhaul, transoceanic), and digital services (voice, video, data, apps) provider
Ownership of end-to-end technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis for issues escalated beyond the company’s Network and Service Operations Centers (NOC, SOC
Investigate, design, develop innovate network and service management tools, particularly those that drive automation of routine operational and service support functions
Create and drive long-term programs to enhance network, service, and systems performance – particularly focused on end-to-end, integrated services and solutions
Develop and institutionalize efficient processes for working across and within the different operational support centers, including continuous feedback and revision as needed
Raise the profile of service, data, and network security tools, programs, and initiatives across the organization at large
Recruit, develop, mentor, motivate, and retain staff with advanced subject matter expertise in multi-service data networks across the areas of: wireless, wireline, internet, analytics, security, OSS/BSS, and digital services
Work in close coordination with a globally distributed team of internal business, technical, and operational staff and external vendors, platform providers, and partners
Technical Skills & Requirements
Lead a small team of SMEs in the deployment and operating a global IP/MPLS transport network in the Tier 1 operator network environment.
Parameter optimization & fine tuning to improve overall network performance, and standardizing baseline parameters
Network performance audit and recommendations
Recommendations on tools related to network performance, monitoring, and troubleshooting
Identification of Problem, Resolving system wide issues in areas including: IP access network for LTE, FTTX and WiFi;
NLD Core, Collector and metro network;
Traffic engineering and capacity planning;
Optimization and feature enhancement;
Process automation; QoS and SLA, VPNs; DDI (DNS, DHCP and IPAM);
DCN Network; IP integration of network Clock Synchronization (PTP,NTP, &SYNC-E);
IP addressing v4 and v6 for entire network;
FW/SBC, Common policy, Configuration, Compliance; DDoS/Application Attack detection and mitigation; URL Blocking; CGNAT logging and correlation
