PCMS solutions are used by 140+ retailers, in more than 57 countries, on over 250,000 selling points.
Due to company growth, PCMS is expanding their engineering group to include a Middleware Engineer. This person will be primarily responsible for supporting PCMS environments with deployments, documentation, upgrades, all around support for middle ware engineering perspective.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field.
5+ years of experience in web systems environments which includes web application installations, upgrades, and deployment as well as any servers/ systems that support/ host web applications.
Experience using WebSphere Performance Monitoring Interface.
Experience with instrumenting Java classes and evaluating performance metrics.
Solid understanding of and experience with the interworking of WebSphere.
Solid understanding of and experience with messaging architectures (e.g. WebSphere MQ
Solid understanding of and experience with JavaEE Applications.
Strong fundamentals in object-oriented programming, data structures and algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis.
Experience in Java/JavaEE and Open Source frameworks such as Spring, Struts, MyBatis, etc.
Proficiency in one modern scripting language such as Perl, Python, or Grinder.
Proficiency in one modern programming language such as Java, C, C++, or C
Strong technical awareness and the ability to understand the reasoning a
and implications of technical decisions.
Working knowledge of PCMS products and services or the ability to quickly develop a working knowledge of PCMS products and services.
Advanced computer literacy, including all Microsoft Office programs.
Valid driver’s license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle.
Flexibility to travel (up to 25%) and to work at customer sites, when required.
To obtain a valid passport.
