Principal Engineer performing work which will include the development of new code and the maintenance of existing code for internationally deployed combat management system for the U.S. Navy.
Responsibilities:
The Principal Engineer''s work will include the development of new code and the maintenance of existing code for internationally deployed combat management system for the U.S. Navy. The combat system software developer will be working developing code for an OMG-DDS complaint system built on state-of-the-art COTS equipment. Software development will include designing, coding, unit testing, integration testing, and documentation of source code. Develop and implement advanced algorithms used in real-time systems. The ability to implement algorithms efficiently and the ability to understand and maximize the computing and I/O resources of the hardware platform are essential. From time-to-time, developer may also contribute to Systems Engineering efforts.

Domestic and International travel required Travel to Netherlands for training. 2 months for the Training, then you come back to Maryland, then 2 more months for the last training. The company will pay for everything.

Qualifications:
MS in Computer or Engineering Science, or BS with equivalent experience.
Minimum 10 years'' experience with real-time software development and open system architecture.
Knowledge of Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD), UML, and MS Windows / Linux environment. Experience with VxWorks desired, but not required.
Hands on experience using Java, C and C++. Experience with Ada a plus.
US Citizenship with ability to acquire US Secret-level clearance required
Model Driven Engineering desirable
