Position Competencies:
(a) Knowledge & Key Skills:
In depth knowledge and application of Global vessel design codes such as ASME, PED, GB including preparation of calculations and procedures.
In depth knowledge of vessel fabrication including inspection of vessels, piping and construction and generally accepted standards for process related equipment
Must be able to demonstrate strong project management, leadership and effective communication skills being able to work effectively in a cross functional and multi-cultural environment.
Must have an in depth understanding of the principles of Project Management and how they are effectively applied within a New Product Introduction Process including risk management and mitigation.
Must be able to multi-task across one or more projects at any one time either individually or as part of a cross functional team. As part of this you must be able to recognise timescale issues thereby developing and implementing corrective actions to ensure the deadlines are met.
Filtration / Vessel application and sizing experience with the Industrial Process market such as Fuel / Chemicals, Offshore and Energy market segments.
Sound knowledge of major manufacturing processes including welding and assembly techniques within a low / medium volume manufacturing environment.
(b) Essential Qualifications/Education:
Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Science.
Preferably Chartered Engineer / Professional with membership of a relevant Engineering Institution.
(c) Essential Previous Experience:
Experience with 2D and 3D CAD software for the creation of drawings and models. Preferably Solidworks.
Experience of project tracking including cost budgeting; spend analysis, resource allocation, risk identification and mitigation.
Experience of a new product introduction process design / project management coupled with design knowledge of fabricated vessels, welded structures, seal mechanisms and pressure vessels.
(d) Miscellaneous:
Must be willing to travel both within the US and abroad therefore a current driving licence and passport are essential.
Must be willing to work reasonable unpaid overtime and unsociable hours if program objectives dictate.
