Description of Service:
Consultant will provide analysis and programming assistance for various PowerBuilder based applications, Safety Points, Nominations Server and the IOL Batch.
Analyze existing system, make code changes and test with end users.
Sample projects are: Point the application(s) at a new database, add additional safety points, analyze existing code and create specifications to enable conversion into web base products.
Duties will include identification and remediation of issues, communications with end user’s for requirements gathering and testing.
The ideal candidate can work independently as well as in a small team setting: perform problem analysis, develop solutions, test and implement. The selected candidate will join a small development team (3-4 members) working closely with the Business Unit staff to continue to enhance our application suite.
Skills required:
1. 3-5 years’ experience with PowerBuilder applications development environment
2. Ability to analyze existing code and make minimally invasive changes
3. Ability to create documentation of the functions performed by the Powerbuilder code.
4. Communications with existing IT team and end-users
