JOB DESCRIPTION

Role: Test Development Engineer

Role Summary

A senior power supply designer capable of technology development, detailed design and documentation, performing in a team environment, and knowledgeable of industry standards,.

Essential Responsibilities

*Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
*Document technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures
*Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments
*Participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues
*Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews
*Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
*Be responsible for component level design, schematic capture, and layout review of analog and *power supply circuitry
*Participate writing plans and testing procedures and verification
*Provide technical requirements definition and verification for subcontracted efforts
*Provide mentoring to junior engineers
*Interface with customers and other stakeholders


Qualification/Requirements

*Must be authorized to work in the United States.
*Minimum 15 years of experience in the design of point of load converters through mid-sized (100-200W) AC/DC, DC/DC converters, and power factor correction and general analog design.
*Intermediate to advanced understanding of linear control systems and feedback principles.
*Demonstrated expertise in communicating technical issues with peers.
*Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

*Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems
*Strong oral and written communication skills
*Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
*Familiarity with MIL-STD-704, DO-160
*Master’s Degree in electrical engineering from an accredited college or university
*Knowledge of specific constraints and standards for aircraft power supply design and EMI control
*Familiarity with schematic and circuit layout CAD packages, Mentor Graphics preferred
*Familiarity with OrCAD PSPICE or LT Spice, Mathcad, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Visio
*Ability to deal with diverse personalities and environments
