We are looking for a candidate for the position of Power BI with Webfocus.
Role: Power BI with Webfocus
Location: Hartford, CT
Duration: Fulltime
Person should be strong in hosting Power BI solution in Azure cloud.
Power BI developer
Identify analytics needs of internal teams through a comprehensive understanding of their business and collaboration with its stakeholders.
Partner with internal customers to develop analyses that lead to actionable insights that improve business decision making, performance, and customer experience.
Manage analytics roadmap, priorities, and related projects.
Define and work with stakeholders to improve data integrity and usefulness throughout the company, including identification of opportunities to improve operations and processes that impact data.
Evaluate, develop and deploy data visualization toolsets.
Foster cross functional/regional sharing of analytical frameworks, approaches, and insights.
Drive maturity throughout the program through defined and documented processes and increased automation and self-service.
Plan and ensure delivery of ongoing end user training and education for greater awareness of analytics tools and data, deeper analytical skills, and greater self service capabilities.
Manage, mentor, and develop members of the Analytics team Will be responsible for creating Power BI reports from existing reports in Web focus.
The candidate will need to:
Analyze current Web focus reports and build new reports in Power BI.
Be able to work with various data sources or multiple tables.
Analyze and benchmark reporting performance
Deploy to various non-prod and prod environments
Migrate to Azure / Work with Azure services
Work with existing data extraction methods to feed reporting platform
Identify improvements to current data extraction process
Required Skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks across multiple projects with tight deadlines and aggressive goals.
Ability to understand complex issues and clearly articulate complex ideas.
Design, build and deploy BI Solutions
Maintain and support data analytics platforms (e.g. Power BI & Web Focus)
Create tools to store data (e.g. OLAP cubes)
Conduct unit testing and quality test across BI development activities
Evaluate and improve existing BI systems
Develop and execute database queries and conduct analysis
Create Visualizations and reports for requested projects
Develop and update technical documentation
Communicate Data collection Issues or Report Disruptions to Business Partners
Highly motivated self-starter, detail and quality oriented and able to work independently
Follows all standards, policies and procedures
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills along with excellent research and problem solving skills
BI development background and coding experience in Azure stack
Technical Skills
2+ years in developing reports and dashboards in MS Power BI and Web focus.
Ability to write API queries to source data from Azure Services like Log Analytics will be a plus.
Experience working with large datasets from a variety of systems and sources
Experience with Reporting tools and ability to source data (SQL, scripts)
