Job Description :
Wil be working on systems engineering issues around adoption of Power9 in customer center.
Such a person, if one can be identified, will have sufficient knowledge of POWER9, Linux and servers and will carry the following responsibilities:
· Prepare a validated Ubuntu 16.04 image that works for POWER9 and includes device drivers that may be used in such a server destined for customer data centers.
· Prepare a miniOS image that can be fetched from a PXEboot target with a user space that customer’s provisioning scripts and tools can be run.
· Work with our cloud enablement team and the hardware engineering team to implement a multi-architecture PXE booting system, may require some coding or modification of code.
· Implement or modify tools to present the standard stock facts that are usually queryable with IPMItool. This includes dmidecode or similar .
· Prototype and solve unexpected issues with containers or Linux configurations related to deployment
