Position – Senior Quality Assurance Engineer
Location – Reston, VA
Duration – 1+ year contract, potential to be hired on full time
Candidates must be US Citizens or Greencard for this position

We are partnered with a leading higher education organization in their search for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer for a position in Reston, VA.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast paced Agile environment on a dynamic team, building innovative solutions on a modern technology stack. The systems will be learning management systems, web services, and backend data testing.

The QA Engineer must have experience testing and writing HTML/CSS and JavaScript; you will work with the webdriver.io and javascript testing framework.

Required Skills:

o Appropriate quality certifications (Lead Auditor, ASQ CQA, ASQ CQE, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, etc
o 7+ years process and quality engineering experience
o Experience using multiple quality improvement methodologies, tools, and techniques to drive significant change and improvement
o Proven ability to lead diverse cross-functional teams in quality improvement projects
o Experience developing and analyzing quality performance metrics
o Quality Management System implementation knowledge and experience, such as ISO
o Experience in corrective action program, root cause analysis and basic statistics
o Experience in vendor quality management techniques

o Highly collaborative individual with ability to influence others and build strong professional relationships

o Ability to effectively handle multiple situations simultaneously
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team
o Ability to travel
o Experience in a high-volume data and transaction intensive processing operation
o Strong project management experience, e.g., knowledge of basic SQL queries
