Our client, one of the largest distributors of natural gas in the northeast US, serving customers in NY, MA, and RI seeks an accomplished Senior Portfolio / PMO Analyst.

Description:

PMO Resource. Strong understanding of working within a PMO. Ability to identify risks and issues. Candidate will be responsible for coordinate the testing process.
The PMO is information hub for projects and programs within portfolio and involves tracking/reporting, assurance/quality control, information management, financial tracking, risk/issue tracking, change control, support and knowledge management/learning from experience. The Program Management Office will add value through the knowledge, skills and experience of its staff.
Overall Purpose of Role: The role of Program Management Office Analyst is to support the Program Management Office Team.
Reports to the Global Infrastructure Portfolio and Planning Lead and provides support by providing documentation to Information Systems.
Implements governance standards across the portfolio. Tracking of status of program deliverables and milestones. Supporting the adoption of the project lifecycle and deliverables.
Advising program level risk and issue co-ordination. Monitoring the status of projects transitioning into normal service. Consolidation of the regular project and program level reporting cycles.
Co-coordination of project Governance arrangements, Post Project Reviews, Program level workshops. Supports implementation of the quality strategy, including any processes and templates, across all projects.
Implements the changes control process across all projects and portfolios. Co-ordination of publications, review and sign-off of major Project Management deliverables.
Ensures project plans are created and maintained, deliverables tracked against time and cost, and resource utilization is monitored.
Works with the PMO manager to develop the IT Project Standards guide, seeking contributions from Project Managers, QA Team, Development Team and Service Implementation Lead to ensure that the Standards meet best practice.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
3+ years working in a project team – years of experience may depend on level.
Strong skills around program delivery is required. Strong reporting skills.
Strong Microsoft office skills especially with Excel.
Strong oral and written. Working with various people and the ability to multi-task at any given time. Researching skills are desirable.
