My internationally recognized client is looking for a Junior-mid level Java Developer to join their downtown Chicago office.
Responsibilities and Duties
Backend Java Development
Supporting system testing and upgrades
Troubleshooting and debugging to maintain our current backend
Improving reliability, scalability, and performance of our backend
Recognizing cutting-edge industry application developments and sharing them with our software development team
Qualifications & Skills:
3+ years’ experience with Java development
Sound understanding on REST APIs
Great insight on system design and object oriented programming
High level of fluency with JDBC, Servlets, JEE/JSE
Logical thinker and effective communicator with a clean and efficient coding style
Cooperative and collaborative working style with other individuals and development teams
Use testing web technologies, services, and physical devices with an understanding of Java technologies, XML, JS, CSS, and HTML to automate and deliver robust test suites.
BS or MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Additional Desirable Skills:
Experience with Agile, DevOps, Continuous Delivery, Jenkins, OpenStack and Cloud
Deep understanding of algorithms, design pattern and data science is a huge plus
