Performance Testing Lead/Manager in Milwaukee (Kohl’s

Total 7+ years’ experience with at least 2+ years in leading performance testing teams.

JMeter or LoadRunner experience; preferably JMeter.

JD for Performance Testing

· Drive Performance Testing, automation initiatives on both customer and internal projects.

· Conduct client meetings, review defects with the development team and demo the defects to the developers if required.

· Design and develop test cases.

· Contribute to functional design.

· Perform testing of new features and do defect management.

· Run various tests, including smoke, sanity and regression tests.

· As required learn newer technologies and tools and contribute to testing initiatives.

· Mentor the juniors.

· Bring innovation to every day work and help in building the organization.

Skills Required

· 3-7 years’ experience in the performance engineering field
The ability to think beyond just what is on the monitor to the servers and architecture of the entire system

· Must possess a strong knowledge of enterprise application architecture and technologies including web, web services, distributed and Oracle databases, and messaging layers. Must also have a strong understanding of the monitoring solutions and KPIs used to determine availability and performance of these technology stacks

· Ability to use load tools to monitor, gather, and report application performance on Windows machines or a Linux machine

· Ability to recognize when an issue needs to be escalated to a higher level

· Must be well versed in using VUGen 9.5 or greater for advanced test script development beyond the built-in record and playback capabilities. Must be well versed in using the reporting/analysis engine for reporting on and correlating system-level events with the impact on the end user experience

· Must be able to create load test scripts using VUGen in at least two or more of the following protocols: HTTP, SOAP, AJAX Click and Script, ODBC, Terminal Emulator, Visual Basic, .NET and Java

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Should possess an understanding of software development and implementation methodologies

· Must possess strong experience using and implementing best practice programs with respect to load generation, bottleneck analysis, usage of modeling tools and statistical analysis

· Strong experience in Java, Oracle and distributed application performance testing

Job Description

· Design and mentor those in creating best-in-class performance testing approaches and plans for enterprise-wide projects

· Assist project members with infrastructure and application performance monitoring and analysis

· Lead a performance testing team

· Evaluate overall system capacity during end-to-end load tests
Work tightly with application development, architecture, infrastructure and engineering groups for performance testing and application analysis initiatives to define success criteria and evaluation methodologies.

· Work closely with the test management team to establish performance testing criteria

· Provide quality, process and technical leadership within the Performance Management team

· Provide insight into performance bottlenecks leveraging a variety of skills and tool sets on multiple platforms

· Establish a strong presence as a change agent providing innovative, effective, and efficient Performance Management practices and solutions
