Title: Performance Test Engineer
Pay Rate:53
Duration:3-5 months
Location: Las Vegas, NV

My client is in need of a performance testers, that has worked on any retail point of sale system migrations. If you have any resources please send them over and I’ll give them a call.

Day to day
-This project will focus on moving the Retail POS Epicore to Microsoft Dynamics 365
-Doing Performance testing and automation testing
-Testing tools they will be using is LoadRunner

Conceive and develop System Test strategies, assess new System Test technology and develop new System Test processes. In support of management and in partnership with development, ensure test processes, practices and standards are executed for a defined scope of projects. Identify, coordinate and maintain the System Test automation schedule for projects. Responsible for getting the applicable System test environments defined, created and “locked down” by implementing change management controls and processes. Work with the Test Center of Excellence (Test CoE) to create detailed System Test plans and to participate in reviews of System Test plans, System Test designs and System Test automation.

Job Requirements:
Understand functional content of assigned release/projects and the potential performance impacts.
Optimize test cycle efficiency and effectiveness using automation.
Design and implement the technical infrastructure for performance test automation for each project.
Maintain the performance test automation environment.
Investigate and troubleshoot performance problems in the performance testing environments.
Utilize performance/load testing methodologies to identify software optimization opportunities, potential system bottlenecks and performance problems.
Monitor and gather the performance statistics during the test execution.
Create performance documents/artifacts: test plans, test designs, test cases and present testing summary reports.
Collaborate with performance testing leads, managers, and test members to identify and automate performance tests for specified applications.
Translate performance specifications/requirements/criteria into effective test designs and test cases.
Participate in up front application and technology requirement gathering, design and functionality reviews when required, to drive the quantitative definition of performance requirements.
Participate in the creation and review of performance testing plans, partitioning, test designs and test automation code.
Install, support, understand, and use the performance testing tools effectively.
At least 5 years of experience in systems testing.
Working knowledge of core development and test processes (e.g. change management, release management, configuration management, requirements management and defect management
Working knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) – requirement, design, construct, test, implement and maintain.
Working knowledge of all facets of the Test CoE organization and the related development and test technologies. This includes operating systems, hardware, networks, middleware, web infrastructure, databases, tools, etc.
Working knowledge of all phases and types of testing (unit, integration, function, system/performance, system/ end-to-end, user acceptance, etc.
Skills in project management and coordination.
