Title: Performance Test Engineer
Location: Atlanta, GA; Seattle, WA; Dallas, TX.
Duration: 9 months
A software engineer that work with user simulation tools in production-like environments to identify and resolve potential application issues especially under peak loads
Experience working with business stakeholders such as a care center or web eCommerce areas and IT architects and developers
3-7 years of experience
Working knowledge using performance engineering tools such as the following:
Load testing: LoadRunner, Performance Center, JMeter, Blazemeter
Scripting: VuGen, JMeter
System Monitoring and Logging: AppDynamics, Splunk
Database Tuning: SQL Profiler, Oracle AWR reports
Java Tuning: Eclipse, VisualVM, IBM GC analyzer, Heap Analyzer, JProfiler
Experience in reviewing tool outputs and providing detailed analysis on the results
Create performance profiles that document how applications must be configured to simulate login times, transaction activity and volumes against performance requirements such as maximum response times.
Develop new and maintain current test scripts, test data, service virtualization configurations, and load configurations
Update and certify traceability between requirements and performance test scripts
Plan and schedule performance tests
Validate load test approach and coverage and receive signoff from application development.
Execute performance test scripts and capture test results
Create defects with detailed information based on testing results
Analyze test results and review with architects and developers to resolve any potential performance issue
