Duration: 6-12 Months

Performance Test Lead

Responsible for designing, building, and deploying effective performance
testing solutions for individual systems and for integrated end-to-end
solutions; creates and ensures adherence to performance test strategy.

Other responsibilities include:

Work with technical stakeholders to provide architecture,
standards and frameworks for performance testing
Work with business and technical stakeholders to establish and
document performance requirements (non-functional requirements; NFRs)
Develop and maintain a performance test plan in coordination with
the test lead on a project
Develop robust, reusable, performance test scripts for each
application or system
Work closely with operations and infrastructure teams to:
o Model appropriate workloads to meet performance test objectives
o Specify, acquire and maintain performance test environments
o Execute and monitor performance tests
Coordinate the procurement of representative data sets required
for performance test
Plan and manage the schedule of performance test activities
Monitor and report progress of performance tests
Work with development, operations and infrastructure teams to
recommend performance tuning and validate results
Performance Test Lead has 7+ years'' combined experience in IT
operations and/or software delivery with strong emphasis on application
operations, configuration and performance. Experience should include
knowledge of multiple SDLC approaches, understanding of testing, and minimum
5+ years hands-on experience in performance testing using commercial and/or
open source tools.
o LoadRunner expertise required
o Other performance testing tools such as JMeter, BlazeMeter, NeoLoad,
Rational Performance Tester, etc.
o APM tool expertise such as New Relic, Dynatrace, CA APM, IBM,
SmartBear, etc.
o Experience testing enterprise-grade, multi-tier applications including
desktop client, web client, and mobile applications
Other Technical Skills
o Experience with one or more object oriented programming languages such
as Java, C#, Ruby, etc.
o Experience working with database systems including RDBMS (e.g. Oracle,
SQL Server) and NoSQL systems (e.g. Hadoop, MongoDB, HBase)
o Comfortable with SQL
o Test environment configuration
