Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a highly-skilled and self-motivated individual to join our Performance Engineering team in the San Francisco Bay Area. Candidates for this Performance Engineering Lead position must have excellent communication and leadership skills, experience performance testing SAP applications, and the ability to work independently with little supervision. Candidates must also have 4+ years of experience in performance engineering and SAP testing, including experience with HP Performance Center / LoadRunner script development, performance testing, and test results analysis. Having experience monitoring Windows, UNIX/Linux, and Oracle servers is a plus.
Required Skills, Experience, and Qualities:
· BA/BS degree in Computer Technology or related, or equivalent QA experience
· 4+ years of experience in performance engineering and testing, including hands-on experience using HP Performance Center / LoadRunner for scripting and testing
· 2+ years of experience testing SAP applications
· Strong understanding of performance testing principles and practice
· Excellent communication skills with program managers, developers, and colleagues
· Ability to successfully manage multiple concurrent performance testing projects in different phases of the performance testing lifecycle
· Ability to quickly understand complex applications, and offer performance test strategies and solutions
· Experience gathering performance requirements from customer project teams
· Experience and skill in analyzing performance test results, and assisting in root cause analysis
· A strong work ethic and drive to excel, to help us meet / exceed customer expectations
· A friendly, confident personality who can work independently with minimal supervision
· SAP ABAP programming experience is a plus
· Experience using backend monitoring tools such as NMON, OEM, Sitescope, vCenter, etc. is a plus, but not required
· Knowledge of command line and other backend scripting tools is also a plus (Windows Batch, KSH, Python, etc), but not required
