Must have 5+ years of experience in performance script development, testing, and results analysis, plus experience monitoring and analyzing backend servers.
Some experience writing database queries is helpful.
Candidates must have experience and skill in troubleshooting / root cause analysis of complex systems.
Experience working in an Agile team is a plus.
Required Skills, Experience, and Qualities:
· BA/BS degree in Computer Technology or related, or equivalent experience
· 5+ years of experience in performance engineering, including hands-on experience using HP Performance Center / LoadRunner for scripting, testing, and results analysis
· Strong understanding of performance engineering and testing principles and practice
· Ability to quickly understand complex applications, and to work with an interdisciplinary team to determine the root cause of performance problems
· Experience analyzing backend server metrics (e.g. AWR reports)
· Experience using backend monitoring and application E2E performance tools, such as NMON, OEM, SiteScope, vCenter, Splunk, AppDynamics, etc., is a plus
· Experience writing SQL queries is a plus
· Good oral and written communication skills are essential
· A strong work ethic, with a commitment to helping meet / exceed our customer’s expectations
· A confident and capable team player, who can work independently with minimal supervision, and be the ‘performance expert’ in an Agile development & testing team
