TITLE: Performance Engineer
LOCATION: Bentonville AR
DURATION: 6+ months
Compensation: DOE
Duties
* Identify bottlenecks for page rendering performance
* Perform root cause analysis of system performance issues, capacity, reliability, scalability and take corrective actions.
* Analyze system architecture and identify key metrics for establishing performance baseline and SLA.
* Code level analysis using Dynatrace and other profiling tools like DotTrace, yourKit, etc.
* Review performance reports/dashboards with management.
* Automate environment preparation / data staging, load/stress executions using Java, Jenkins, Powershell & batch scripting.
* Perform network packet analysis using Wireshark.
* Build and enhance performance/test environments (using Vsphere
* Identify real life usage scenario and gather workload requirements to strategize performance test based on customer environment and data.
* Tools: WebPageTest, Jmeter, Java, Jenkins, LoadRunner, Dynatrace, vSphere, SQL Sentry, Fiddler, Wireshark, SSMS, Dottrace, yourkit, etc.
Required Qualifications:-
Strong Experience and knowledge of HTTP load generation software (e.g. LoadRunner, JMeter, Silk Performer etc.
Strong experience with Web Services, and XML technologies (REST, SOAP, JAXB, WSDL, XML
Experience with JAVA and SQL performance tuning experience (e.g. garbage collection, heap management, JVM Configuration, V$ table, explain plan, query optimization etc.
Experience with Code analysis using Dynatrace and other profiling tools like DotTrace, yourKit, etc.
Expert ability to identify performance issues within the J2EE architecture Load balancers, Weblogic, Database, Operating system , System, Network, Software (JAVA) and Hardware
Excellent ability to partner with Architects, Developers, Systems Engineers and Database Administrators to collaboratively tune systems
Exposure to Apache, Tomcat, VmWare, OpenStack technologies a PLUS
Experience in some programming languages (using Java, C, SQL, Perl, Shell scripting, etc a PLUS
