Job Description :
We seek an experienced Software Engineer to join us and help create best in class Performance Capture tools and workflows. You are a talented CGI production oriented Software Engineer with experience in developing, upgrading and maintaining an animation pipeline. You will work closely with the Motion Capture team to assess pipeline needs, design and develop software solutions and methodologies with an immediate focus on game engine tools development. You are motivated; can deliver on projects, and have experience working in a fast paced development organization.

The ideal candidate will work with the Advanced Creative Technology team in the following areas:

Responsibilities Include:
? Develop, support and deliver animator focused tools and procedures to extend and enhance the Performance capture pipeline
? Design, develop, test, and deliver real-time software solutions for Motion Capture, AR, VR
? Liaise with multiple departments, including Modeling, Animation, Lighting, FX, and R&D
? Follow established collaborative software development policies and guidelines
? Work closely with other Software Engineers, Department Supervisors, and Pipeline team to maintain and further the ACT pipeline.
? Assist in the training and mentoring of others in the department
? Recommend and present designs and approaches for future development
? Support the ACT team and projects as needed


Qualifications/Requirements
? Degree in Computer Science or any related field.
? Deep Experience developing within game engine (Unity and Unreal
? Deep Experience in one or more of the following: digital modeling, rigging, animation, scripting, lighting.
? Minimum of 5 years production experience in VFX, Animation, Virtual Production, and/or game development.
? Strong Object Oriented Programming skills.
? Experience with industry standard computer graphics applications (eg. Maya, Houdini, Nuke
? Experience with tool integration into existing or new pipelines.
? Experience with Autodesk Product API’s, such as Maya, MotionBuilder and FBX SDK
? Familiarity with Motion Capture algorithms including facial capture processing
? Familiarity with digital signal processing algorithms
? Ability to ramp up quickly and contribute to existing and complex software


Desired Characteristics
? At least 5 years’ experience in software development using C++ and Python
? Production experience in computer animation, visual effects, or game industry.
? Experience with tool integration into existing or new pipelines.
? Ability to establish priorities, work independently or within a group, and work with minimal supervision.
? Exceptional communication skills in dealing with both technical and artistic groups.
