Position: Peoplesoft HCM 9.2 Payroll Consultant with Benefits Administration
Location: Newport Beach, CA
Interview: Phone & Skype
Duration: 3-6+ month contract with potential for long term contract

Responsibilities:
Solid Understanding of PeopleSoft HCM V 9.2 Preferred (9.1 is ok) – should understand the configuration and functional aspects of:
Benefits Administration – Familiar with configuration, how to trouble shoot issues, BAS Activity.
Payroll Interface – Configuration, troubleshooting, understands how it all works.
PS Query – how to create, update queries, understanding table joins, SQL a plus.
Smart HR Transactions – Configuring Templates, troubleshooting.

This position is responsible for the data management and correction requests as well as supporting application configuration, design, testing and troubleshooting for PeopleSoft HRMS V 9.1 modules and all other HR technology systems.
Researches and resolves complex data integrity issues. Provides support for the specific needs of HR and Employees and performs thorough documentation of new and enhanced business processes.

Participates in the research and analysis required to generate enhancements and modifications to existing HRIS systems applications and reports. In addition, assists in ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of the HR database.
Primary responsibilities/essential functions (other duties may be assigned)
Modules used in PeopleSoft: Core HR, Employee Self Service, Benefits Administration, Payroll Interface

Generates scheduled and ad hoc queries & reports using SQL code to develop the extracts needed as well as PS Query and MS SQL Server Management Studio
Troubleshoot login issues with PeopleSoft, SuccessFactors, ADP eTime and Payroll Work Center
Troubleshoot system issues with ADP eTime and log cases with the ADP Solution Center as needed

Run Payroll Audit file twice monthly and make updates to the SQL audit as necessary
Interfaces: Troubleshoot problems with any interface by reviewing the programming, determining the root cause, developing a solution, and testing the solution before migration to production

Interface Testing: Significant number of interfaces (over 30) that will need to be tested as part of the PeopleSoft upgrade
User Acceptance Testing: includes activities for new system functionality and bug fixes
Work with IT on the PS feed that populates the Intranet phonebook/Outlook, and resolve issues with names, e-mails addresses etc.
Work with HR Data & Reporting and other applicable HR groups on Mass uploads into PeopleSoft

Maintain PeopleSoft Tables: Add new departments, business units, locations etc.
Maintain SAP Tables: Add new departments
Assist with high priority and complex projects
Maintain/Configures Payroll Interface and Benefit Administration in PeopleSoft
Provide requirements and design specifications for interfaces with IT

Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting PeopleSoft HRIS systems
Strong/Advance knowledge of PS Query. This may require the need to retrofit all queries
Experience with other HR Technology systems like SuccessFactors, ADP eTime, ServiceNow
Strong knowledge of database structure and querying skills
Advance skills in Excel
Strong analytical and reporting skills
