Job Description
A tester is needed for a project involving integrations from Ariba to PeopleSoft. These integrations will use both file-based transfers and Web Services. This role requires a minimum of 8 years of experience and the ability to work in a heterogenous environment involving company employees, external contractors and project consultants.
Mandatory Skills:
· Testing PeopleSoft Functionality.
· Testing Web Services integrations – whether SOAP or REST based.
· Testing file-based integrations
The person fulfilling this role must be highly skilled in the following:
· Decent database knowledge and ability with SQL. Oracle specific syntax is handy.
· Excellent data analysis skills.
· Understand Web Technologies like HTML, XML, Web Services security, SSL Protocols, SOAP and REST.
· Translate from business requirements to underlying technical details.
· Excellent testing documentation skills and attention to detail.
· Able to think through and execute end-to-end scenarios.
· Use tools like XML Notepad and SOAP UI.
· Analyze raw files used for file based integrations.
· Anlayze and intepret XML messages.
The following is nice to have:
· Functional knowledge of the PeopleSoft Accounts Payable module.
· Any functional knowledge of other PeopleSoft Financial modules.
· Understanding of accounting entry generation and accounting setups in PeopleSoft.
· Knowledge of SAP Ariba Procure to Pay and Source to Contract.
· A partial background in development or at least an ability to go into App Designer and check objects and PeopleCode at a surface level
