Position : PeopleSoft HCM Support Consultant
Location : San Diego, CA
Duration of contract : Long term
Job Description:
1. 7+ years of PeopleSoft HCM experience (Core HR, North American Payroll, Position Management, Base Benefits, Workforce Monitoring, Enterprise Learning, PeopleSoft Security Prefer to have HCM 8.8/Tools 8.48 experience
2. Development/support experience with PeopleTools, AE, CI, SQR, Integration Broker, app package
3. 2+ years team lead experience managing offshore production support/development team of 5+ resources
4. Strong SQL skills, creating and maintaining complex queries
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred
1. Working experience with applying PeopleSoft tax updates and PeopleSoft object migration
2. Experience with non-PeopleSoft applications for other HR functionalities such as recruiting/onboarding, T&L, LMS, performance management, paycards, recognition, identity management, business process management/workflow
3. Working knowledge with Oracle (9i and 10g)
4. Experience with ADP PeopleSoft bolt-on functionalities, including Wage Payment, Employment Tax Services, and Wage Garnishment Services
5. Basic knowledge with Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows Server (2003, 2008, 2012), IBM AIX (5.3)
6. Working knowledge with SQL Server database (2005, 2008, 2012)


Responsibilities ::
Skill 1:
Responds to and resolves PeopleSoft HR Incidents and Service requests. Act as primary support contact for offshore:
1.1) Includes application issues (PeopleSoft delivered and Petco custom online functionality, batch processes, reports)
1.2) Includes system issues (performance, maintenance, security)
1.3) Coordinates with onshore resources and users
1.4) Excellent verbal and written communications skills
1.5) Coordinate with other IT teams, HR business units and vendor support team on production support activities
Skill 2:
Assists with development for PeopleSoft HR enhancements and bug fixes:
2.1) Estimates effort and scope for PeopleSoft HR enhancement and bug fix iTracks
2.2) Creates/reviews Technical Specifications
2.3) Develops new or modify existing PeopleSoft codes using PeopleTools, AE, CI, SQR, Integration Broker, app package
2.4) Creates and executes unit/integration testing scripts, or coordinate with IT QA team to complete unit/integration testing
2.5) Assists in user acceptance testing
2.6) Deploys PeopleSoft code changes and manages changes through CAB
2.7) Coordinate with other IT teams, HR business units and vendor support team on development activities
Skill 3:
Primary contact for 3rd party providers and other Petco IT groups:
3.1) Experience with non-PeopleSoft applications for other HR functionalities such as recruiting/onboarding, T&L, LMS, performance management, paycards, recognition, identity management, business process management/workflow
3.2) Coordinate with vendor project/support team to troubleshoot issues with 3rd party application
3.3) Coordinate with vendor project/support team to implement new or enhance existing functionalities
3.4) Provide production support/enhancement assistance using 3rd party application development tools such as UC4 scheduling, Taleo Connect Client, Liquid Office
