Description:
The Functional Analyst is a utility player, serving many different stakeholders as a system expert in various processes as they relate to modules in the PeopleSoft application.
This position must be able to work independently and collaborate with diverse groups to cultivate this knowledge of the system as well as knowledge of how the Washington community and technical college environment operates.
This position will participate in all global and local design activities related to the PeopleSoft application and provide leadership to the Subject Matter Expert (SME) team members from the colleges during all phases of the design and configuration process throughout the life of the implementation project.
10+ years of related experience working with PeopleSoft application in a Higher Education setting with one or more of the following functional areas: Student Financials
1+ years of related experience working with Business Intelligence software.

Primary Responsibilities
Performs business analysis (including BPA / BPR
Refines / clarifies business requirements.
Provides knowledge of end-user needs, business processes / procedures, etc.
Develops business specifications (e.g., for required customizations
Participates in the application design and configuration (including functional security -definition of roles, permissions, etc.
Supports execution / development of day-to-day deliverables that enable the ongoing compliance needs related to state and federal legislation, IT policies and procedures, regulatory requirements, etc.
Supports the data conversion activities through establishing required configurations in PeopleSoft, mapping data and performing conversion related tasks.
Provides support and knowledge transfer to other teams within and associated with the project.
Assists the Finance Project Lead in working with business process owners to ensure that the design and scope is and remains consistent with functional expectations and priorities as related to the Campus Solutions Student Financials application.
Participate in all business process review activities and provide business process insight into recommended best practices concerning the related modules.
Assists in the development of functional/technical specifications and documentation for reporting, interfaces and customizations.
Assists in the maintenance of tracking and issue logging related to Student Financials module activities.
Assists in the development of internal and external training content and related documentation
Assists in the development of test scripts and participates in testing activities.
Assists with college staff adoption and use of the Student Financials Module of the Campus Solutions application and associated analytics as they relate to Student Financials.
This position reports to the Campus Solutions Pillar Lead

Skills:
Exceptional interpersonal communication skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, specialty consultants, and system end users are required.
Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities while providing leadership and direction to college teams throughout the implementation process.
Working knowledge of PeopleSoft.
A team-oriented person with the ability to work closely with team members.
