Job Description
Developer Advisor will lead detailed business/technical requirements gathering, analysis, process and data flow diagramming for processes of severe complexity;
Develop software applications on Pega PRPC;
Conduct development using Pega PRPC, Java and Oracle;
Develop applications deployed on WebLogic, WebSphere or Tomcat;
Resolve complex business issues, identify alternatives, determine impact and recommend optimal configuration solutions;
Create various design artifacts, including application design specification, test strategy and integration test plans;
Create release level implementation plans and provide walkthroughs to stakeholders;
Perform Pega integration analysis and deliver integration service specifications for handling data transfer between UM systems;
Write queries to pull data on Oracle and SQL Server;
Create process flow diagrams for several functionalities and utilize them to a great extent to explain complex functionalities to stakeholders/team members; collaborate with other teams, including business analysts from other functional domains and technical teams to understand the system’s as-is functionality and solution to-be functionality;
Conduct multiple sessions with the development and test teams to hand-off the requirements and proceed to build phase in SDLC;
Train and mentor new or less experienced technology service associates.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in computer science, computer applications, engineering or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus 5 years of software application development experience on PEGA PRPC with Java.
Specific skills/other requirements (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section):
Java/J2EE, HTML, XML and JavaScript;
SOAP/Web Services, REST Services and XSD;
writing queries and pulling data from Oracle and SQL Server;
developing applications deployed on WebLogic, WebSphere or Tomcat;
Struts, Hibernate and TopLink frameworks.
