Job description:
The ARCADE Project Manager will oversee a cross functional program that has multiple work streams including implementation of operational and patient data hub, master data management, data landscape mapping, data analytics etc The Project manager will be accountable for managing the interdependencies among various work streams of the program. This individual has responsibility for the health and success of the program working in a matrixed organization with direct relationships with various groups in the business as well as IT.
This role will require the ability to:
- Monitor, manage, and ensure predictable delivery of projects
- Drive delivery and accountability of vendors and third party project managers
- Enable escalation of risks and issues that require assistance, attention, or executive resolution
The Project Manager will monitor resources both internal to Biogen as well as external vendors and partners. The Project Manager is accountable for ensuring that the projects are delivered according to committed scope, approved budget, and target dates. The Project Manager will ensure that vendors and third party project managers provide committed project management deliverables to the appropriate cadence and to a high level of quality. These deliverables will fully disclose all relevant aspects of budget and schedule adherence.
Skills:
- 5+ years project management experience, ideally including budget accountability
- Comfortable with both waterfall and Agile methodologies, and familiarity with tools including JIRA
- Experience with validated GxP systems projects, including requirements gathering, planning, and execution
- Experience in leading daily stand-ups and cross-functional meetings for nimble, fast-moving teams
- 8+ years experience as an IT professional
- A background in Life Sciences projects.
- Data hub, Data lake knowledge or experience with data analytical tools like Spotfire is a plus
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills – particularly organizing and presenting project information to management
- Capable of working well under pressure; highly organized
- Capable of multi-tasking across projects
- Capable of working independently
- Experience working with third party vendor management
