Job Description :
RESPONSIBILITIES and MAJOR DUTIES
§ Has overall responsibility for planning, and coordinating activities pertaining to systems or projects
§ Develop detailed project plans that define key activities, timelines, and resource requirements needed to achieve project objectives
§ Conducts full life cycle project process management, including gathering requirements and performing cost/benefit analysis to ensure quality is addressed through all phases of the project
§ Responsible for managing project teams and related implementation activities according to project plans
§ Accountable for timely completion of projects and deliverables within established timelines
§ Responsible for developing client relationships and working closely with users and vendors to ensure acceptance, quality, and integrity of the information
§ Coordinate and respond to request for changes from original specifications
§ Monitor project results against technical specifications and performance measures
§ Communicate plans, status, and issues to PMO
§ May define and conduct user training for new applications or modifications, as required

LEVEL DIFFERENTIATORS
§ Ability to manage projects with multiple local or remote resources assigned
§ Ability to simultaneously manage multiple complex projects that will vary in scope and impact
§ Minimum 10 years of experience directly supervising resources on project activities
§ Minimum 10 years of experience planning, managing and scheduling project activities
§ Bachelor''s degree in technical or business discipline or equivalent experience is required
§ Consulting background a plus
§ Insurance background a plus

SPECIFIC SKILLS
§ Ability to manage internal development projects from inception to successful implementation
§ Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate staff to apply skills and techniques to solve dynamic problems
§ Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with business partners and vendors
§ Must be a decision-maker and willing to negotiate to develop win-win situations
§ Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
§ Ability to facilitate issues and resolve conflict as appropriate
§ Excellent Writing & Communication Skills
§ PMP certified is preferred but not required
§ MBA is preferred but not required

KNOWLEDGE
§ Strong knowledge project planning and management activities
§ Strong knowledge of documentation processes
§ Solid knowledge of systems testing techniques
§ Solid knowledge of IT operations and operational environments
§ Solid knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle
§ Strong knowledge on risk control, Budgets/Financials and change management processes.
§ Strong knowledge of MS Project, MS Office Suite and Sharepoint
