PLM Solution Architect

Providence, RI

18 months contract


Experience required: 10+ years


Implement PLM project modules working as part of the team

Solid understanding the PLM concepts, practices, and procedures. CAD, Assembly, Part, Bill of Materials, Workflow Process, Release to Manufacturing, Revise, Change Management, Product Structure, Process Management, WC ESI (SAP/Oracle Apps Integration), Windchill Product Analytics, etc.

Capture user requirements and document them (User Requirement Specification Functional Specifications, System Capture Worksheet, Solution Design, etc

Install Windchill Products ? FLexPLM PDMLink, ProjectLink, ESI and DB Oracle, MS SQL, etc.,

Configure WC products based on the business system & process requirements

Perform Data Migration, Upgrade, Re-hosting

Analyze any issues during installation & configuration and solve them to complete the tasks

Perform System Administration and Business Administration on Windchill Solutions

Learn new modules or products related to WC installation & configuration ? such as Oracle, MSSQL, Clustering, Windows, UNIX, LINUX systems, Network Technology, etc.

Work in a team and follow instructions from Project Managers or Leaders

Good aptitude to learn and work with commitment towards providing quality work

Report the task status to the Project Manager in order to meet the project schedule

Detailed understanding of product development business processes and workflow, PLM processes

Solution Architecting of Windchill Flex PLM,

Experience dealing with complexity and managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously

Excellent documentation skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Experience leading large and small groups in collaborative, information gathering sessions

The ability to articulate technical ideas and solutions in business terms

Experience with transforming user requests and ideas into technical and functional specifications



Roles & Responsibilities:


The Solution Architecture has the responsibility to interface with business leads in, product development departments to document, develop and improve systemic processes by studying product and G methods and practices. Evaluate new business information systems, incorporate new technical approaches to improve work-flow, efficiency and effectiveness.

Understand the Retail/CPG business.

Collaborate with business and IT leaders to develop product development systems road maps.

Collecting business requirements and tracking the same and enabling mapping to PLM solutions

Maintain detailed listing of open system requests, system issues and questions. Work with Department heads to set priorities and manage expectations. Maintain delivery schedules for all open items.

Interface with product and system vendors to resolve open issues and bugs. Thoroughly test all fixes and configurations, document changes and manage deployment processes into production.

Manage business reporting life-cycle from request to release.

Evaluate CPG/Retail product development processes by designing and conducting research programs, applying knowledge of product design and and conferring with software vendors.

Develop Retail /CPG development processes by studying user requirements, researching, designing, modifying, and testing Retail CPG and product development methods, software and software.

Assure process quality by designing testing methods; testing pre-production solutions and establishing standards.

Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.


Required:

Five years or more experience with the following:

Experience working with PLM solutions like Windchill/ FLEXPLM is must.

Experience in Solutioning of FlexPLM

Experience with assortment planning and allocation processes and systems

Knowledge of SQL a plus


Education: A four-year college degree in engineering or Science, post-graduate degree preferred
