Role : PL/SQL production support
Location : Los Angeles, CA
Duration : 6 months
Requirements:
We have a need for a contract resource within our client’s Technology Development Production Support group supporting our Supplier Payments & Dealer Compensation Applications.
We are looking for an experienced technical resource who can help us support existing Oracle PL/SQL applications and new applications built on the Hadoop big data platform.
Senior-level candidates are preferred with hands-on experience managing complex application environments in an enterprise IT setting.
We’re looking for someone who can understand the bigger picture and can take a logical approach to solving business problems for which the root cause may reside outside of a given technology stack.
Candidates must be comfortable driving initiatives to achieve desired outcomes.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE
Must be able to demonstrate strength in development and data analysis using PL/SQL, Unix Shell Scripting, Java
Must take a logical approach to solving complex technical problems
Must be able to work in a team atmosphere
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to articulate complex technical issues within a business context
Must be presentable to senior leadership and business partners.
Must demonstrate aptitude for learning new technologies
Must be a self-starter who exhibits motivation to contribute, develop, and succeed
Must have familiarity with ITIL framework for Incident & Problem Management and AGILE software development methodologies
Must have an interest in Big Data technologies such as Hadoop.
Required
6 years of experience in an enterprise IT Role doing systems administration, development, quality assurance or production support
6 years working with Oracle databases, performing administration tasks, writing SQL, and analyzing large datasets
4 years of development experience using PL/SQL, Java, web technologies,
4 years OS administration experience with Linux / Windows, with basic knowledge of Unix administration
4 years of experience with wlst, ant, perl, shell or other scripting languages
An understanding of J2EE and basic java application management tasks
