JOB TITLE: PERL Developer Analyst
LOCATION: Austin, TX
START DATE: ASAP
DURATION: 6 Months with optional extension(s
JOB DESCRIPTION/MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
The contractor will develop and fully document PERL 5.x based secure file t=
ransfer and other system automation scripts. Will work with Senior Linux Sy=
stem Administrator to perform standard RHEL 7 administration activities.
The contractor will also be a member of a team responsible for managing and=
maintaining production and development infrastructure. Contractor will ass=
ist the team to quickly troubleshoot technical problems and performance iss=
ues with Linux systems, services and with hardware. Contractor should have=
sufficient technical expertise to be able to assist in maintaining and man=
aging production systems, analyze problems, and configure systems within th=
e distributed computing environment; assist in maintaining Linux/UNIX based=
Web applications and database server infrastructure; assist with multiple =
projects with various priority levels and time lines from start to finish; =
and assist in tuning and monitoring applications and operating system perfo=
rmance.

Experience in PERL 5.x coding with the ability to create, manage, and use m=
odules. Experience with available PERL libraries for file, string, and time=
(strftime) manipulation, as well as file transfer protocols (SFTP and FTP)=
Use of local GIT for code version control.

Experience with general RHEL 7 Linux System Administration skills including=
SFTP, SCP, GPG, SSH-keys, Samba, Bash, security permissions.

Experience with creating development, system, and end user documentation as=
specified by the Project Plan.

Experience in developing and documenting detailed test plans. Ability to pe=
rform unit testing.
