Performance Test Engineer

18 month contract

Location: AZ, CO then CLT, NC, Atlanta or MPLS

Test Engineer
Development, execution, and maintenance of test scripts and scenarios; evaluation, analysis, and documentation of performance results; effectively communicate performance results to application owners and management; provide feedback and recommendations to project/development teams and management for capacity planning and production performance improvements; create clear documentation for test plans, test strategies, data flows, step documents, scripts, and scenarios; research and planning for performance testing of applications that are new to SPLI testing.

Technical Experience (prefer 5 or more years’ experience)

Ability to troubleshoot/debug scripts
Performance Testing
Testing Tools (ALM PC 12, LoadRunner, VuGen 12 , Analysis 12)
Programming Languages (C, C++, Java, Java Script, XML, JSON, .NET)
DB skills (Oracle, MySQL)
Multiple monitoring tools (App Dynamics, OpTier, Introscope, Splunk, Teleran)
Multiple Protocols (SOAP, UI, Web HTTP/HTML, Web Services, Java Vuser, TruClient)
MS Office (Outlook, Lync, LiveMeeting, Excel, Word, PPT, Visio)
Soft Skills

Communication – written and oral
Self-starter – assertive and highly motivated
Work with diverse teams/partners located across US and India
Work flexible hours during execution phase (nights/weekends)

Preferred
Large Financial institution experience

General Responsibilities
Acts as a lead in providing application design guidance and consultation, utilizing a thorough understanding of applicable technology, tools, and existing designs
Analyzes highly complex business requirements, designs and writes technical specifications to design or redesign complex computer platforms and applications
Provides coding direction to less experienced staff or develops highly complex original code
Acts as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation, and analysis efforts
Verifies program logic by overseeing the preparation of test data, testing, and debugging of programs
Oversees overall systems testing and the migration of platforms and applications to production
Develops new documentation, departmental technical procedures, and user guides
Leads projects, allocates and manages resources and manages the work of less experienced staff
Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area and oversees
Creation of or updates to and testing of the business continuation plan
SPLI Specific Responsibilities

Responsible for the creation, customization, development, programming and maintenance of performance test scripts and libraries using HP Performance Center testing tool
Responsible for evaluation, analysis, and documentation of assigned performance testing
Provide technical guidance of performance testing to application developers, architects, business partners and management
