Position: Sr. Business Analyst
Location: Chicago, IL
Duration: Full Time
Job Summary:
The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for leading the business and functional requirements definition, including creation of detailed requirements for application UI changes for one of the product development team.
Responsibilities & Duties
Perform all or some of the following core job functions
Lead requirements definition for complex projects. Identify and translate business needs into clearly defined requirements, and create documentation inclusive of business use cases, process flows, data flows, traceability matrices and mock-ups if the UX team does not have the bandwidth to help with the design.
Plan, facilitate, and conduct requirements gathering sessions, meetings, and presentations.
Lead review sessions for completed business/functional requirements with key business users focused on gaining consensus and final business approval
Build strong relationships within the business units and support functions to understand the business needs.
Develop epics and user stories for upcoming sprints.
Fully develop specifications 2-4 weeks ahead of engineering.
Break stories into functional and non-functional acceptance criteria.
Collaborate with development and testing teams to provide subject matter expertise on the requirements.
Production support - Issue analysis.
Get actively involved in the software testing phase.
Experience with the following would be ideal
Business Analyst with PC Claims experience, total work exp. of 6 to 8 Years, PC Certifications, SQL
Can pick up scrum master role along with Business Analyst responsibilities.
SKILLS
PC Insurance domain Certification
Understanding of Policy Admin, Claims Admin systems
Knowledge of the claims adjudication process from FNOL to settlement for PC claims
Self-directed
Communicates clearly
Experience with JIRA, or similar tool for organizing development requirements
Experience writing detailed user stories with workflow diagrams and data models
Experience storyboarding and coordinating with UI designers and software engineers
Experience with Agile development
