DEP is look for a programmer that will be Responsible for analysis, design, coding, component and testing of various systems supported by the Conservation & Environment Service Center (CEDC), Bureau of Information Technology (IT
Responsibilities:
Responsible for analysis, design, coding, component and testing of various systems supported by the Conservation & Environment Service Center (CEDC), Bureau of Information Technology (IT Focuses on projects to improve data quality and auditing for record management of enterprise systems. Researches and recommends processes and procedures to increase efficiency of the CEDC data management and integration strategies for enterprise systems. Provides data analysis, data integration activities, and reporting to ensure that data is accurate and complete. Works on data exchanges using services, scripts, and building additional ETL’s to share with outside entities. Also has ability to manage these projects and ensure they stay on schedule.
Leads technical design and code work within complex enterprise systems
Hands-on technical design and development expertise working with emerging technologies in diverse technical environments and cross-platform technologies
Demonstrates experience with the design of relational and multidimensional database
Demonstrates proficiency in performance tuning to ensure quality and performance of ETL jobs and reports
Assists in process improvements to enhance data quality, implement validations, standardize processes and promote reusable components to ensure data quality for the delivery center
Develops new reports and database objects against complex enterprise databases (both SQL Server and Oracle) and modifies or enhances existing reports, queries and database objects as assigned
Uses Visual Studio Team Foundation Services for source control and work items and provides project statuses and project time estimates to the supervisor
Participates in structured code reviews / walk through s.
Works with business users to gather and document requirements and ensures solutions meet their business needs
Proven ability to collaborate with project managers and technical architects
Proven experience performing supervisory functions for technical teams
Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and determine root cause when issues arise
Demonstrates analytical and customer service skills
Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ensures that best practices are maintained and mentors team members on the best practices, standards, and IT processes
Applies Agile development principles
Adheres to standards set by the Service Center and the Governor’s Office of Administration
Documents all work for future reference
Independently executes all tasks and work assignments
