Oracle & SQL Database Lead (Contract to Hire)
Location: Cincinnati, OH
Responsibilities:
Work with cross-functional team members from Architecture, Product Strategy & Development,
QA, Sales & Services, and other Central teams to improve performance and scalability of
multiple products.
Authority in Technical design, internally recognized as highly competent in technical areas, will
review and participate in product benchmarking and design reviews of multiple products.
Drive significant technology initiatives end to end and across multiple products and multiple
layers of architecture.
Will write and present clear, concise performance benchmark plans, analysis, recommendations,
and white papers.
Passionate for continuous learning, experimenting and applying cutting edge technology and
software paradigms.
Deeper understanding of architecture principles and methods, technology and standards,
actively stay abreast of trends and standards, recommend best practices and share learning.
Provide technical leadership, be a role model to software engineers pursuing technical career
path in engineering, coach and mentor other engineers in processes and methodologies
Qualifications:
8+ years of total / relevant IT experience.
8+ years of Oracle, No SQL and SQL development experience on different platforms & web-
based enterprise applications.
Experience in Requirement Analysis, Design Database & Applications, Data Modeling, Dimension
Modeling, Configured, Implemented and integrated applications.
Solid programming experience and very strong in programming disciplines.
Passion for engineering and solving very complex engineering problems that delights customers.
Extensive experience in performance improvement related work with the ability to
review/comment on a piece of code that may add overhead for response time/execution
time/memory usage/CPU usage with/without actually profiling the application
Experience in creating SQL profiles; Understanding Explain plan, Trace files; Using optimizer
hints, partitioning; Query tuning & Memory tuning; Estimating Redo log file sizing & checkpoint
tuning; Oracle SQL Developer.
