Oracle/SQL DBA @ TX ( need local candidates )
San Antonio, TX
4+ Months
Rate: $50/HR On C2C
Non local candidates will not be considered
Client needs someone who is heavily involved in the administration of both. It does't need to be a true 50/50 split, but definitely someone with focus in each.
Tech Notes:
Oracle / SQL Server DBA is the ideal skillset. Candidates with Shell/Perl Scripting will win the job. Send the best you have!!
Experience with various versions of MSSQL Server and Oracle.
Experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex database problems.
Experience in Performance Tuning and Optimization, using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
Experience with backups, restores and recovery models.
Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for MSSQL Server and Oracle.
Experience in implementing operational automation using scripts – preferable
Experience in Perl/Shell scripting – preferable
Experience with Data Center Migration Projects preferable
Ability to solve problems on his/her own without seeking much assistance from team.
Ability to multi-task
Should be comfortable on taking on-call schedules.
Good communication and documentation skills.
Should be able to work on site during working hours.
