Barrister Global Services Network Inc. is currently looking for a motivated, highly detailed, organized and outgoing individual to support one of our major nationwide clients. The successful applicant should be able to quickly adapt their knowledge to the current IT environment and be able to enhance the current systems in place. They should also possess excellent verbal and written communication skills so as to be understood by technical and non-technical personnel.

Job Summary :

You will work with our current solutions and develop ETL and PL/SQL code. This role focuses on development of stored procedures, functions and SQL scripts for multiple client projects. The Specialist will be responsible for, but not limited to, the analysis and design of database objects and data collection systems, including the transformation of legislative requirements into system functionality; data modeling ; responsible for software development tasks including coding, testing, and implementation; prepares technical and user documentation.


Essential Job Functions:

Design, code, test , debug and document
Analyze and translate business requirements into data requirements.
Provide detailed analysis of data issues and development of recommendations
Ad-hoc data query for various analyses.


Requirements :


Experience with RDBMS systems, particularly Oracle 11/12g.
An understanding of data warehousing and data modeling practices.
Bash Shell scripting experience.
Experience with large data volumes.
Experience in working in Agile.

Preferred :

Familiarity with data management concepts data modeling, effectively organizing large data volumes; both structured and unstructured, data quality, and data security.
