Modernization Project
Vertex Lead to implement Vertex O Series across all of D&S organization – Vertex is a 3rd party software package that integrates with Oracle EBS, helping to update taxes based on location and ensure current tax rates, it has tax rate calculation functionality, etc. This resource is coming in at phase 1 of the project, and will lead the effort from scratch.
The start date is November 1st (but flexible) - so please target candidates that will be ok with this start date - due to this, there is no submission deadline for this req, but please submit candidates when you find them that are fine with this start date. They will need to go through 2 levels of video technical evaluation (one focused on Oracle Financials EBS (with focus on EBTax), and another more focused on Vertex and integration with Oracle. Successful candidates will then have a conversation with the Fujitsu DM and the PM of the project. Finally, there will be a call with the client.
Need to have some Vertex design experience, understand business requirements and configure accordingly – this is primarily a functional role – this will be a new functionality for the user base, need seasoned resource who can educate, train and answer questions from the finance group.
Experience with Oracle E-business Tax implementation and configuration (At least 2 implementations, preferably with one or more of those in Release 12.2)
Experience with Vertex O series implementation and configuration (At least 2 implementations)
Experience with business requirements gathering
Functional design experience including process mapping and extensions
Experience working with offshore development
Testing Experience in E-Business tax and Vertex O series
Good functional knowledge of sales, use, value added and excise taxes
Must have good presentation skills and work directly with the client on a day to day basis 100% travel required.
