Job Details:
12+ Years of expertise in Database Administration with thorough knowledge on Oracle & MSSQL database maintenance, monitoring and performance tuning.
1. Serve as an operational & development DBA for our cloud based solutions
2. Proficient in backup & restore methodologies, Tuning databases, refreshes, Reorgs and script writing. Recovering from database failures, DBMS and data using Oracle RMAN and FLASHBACK or other designated recovery utilities.
3. Perform database upgrades (Oracle 9i to 10g, 10g to 11g, 11g to 12c & MS SQL 2012,2014 and 2016 upgrades & Patching
4. Monitor Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN), MS SQL Database backups, Export, the backup reports, and the performance and space on the servers and databases.
5. Knowledge on Disaster Recovery strategies.
6. Resolve database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues.
7. Support and collaborate with the Application Development team to deploy the application code between database environments.
8. Should be skilled in managing Oracle DataGuard databases and SQL Clustering & Replication strategies
9. Also communicate effectively orally and in writing.
