Job Description:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent, with 6+ years of overall experience.
Minimum 6-8 years’ experience in ORACLE DBA hands on experience version 11g/12c
Experience in cross platform migrations from 11g to 12c from AIX/UNIX to Linux
Database cross platform upgrades from 11g to 12c
Supporting large database environments (100+ databases) and large size databases (2+ TB)
RMAN Database backups and recovery
Physical, logical, Active & Snapshot standby
Experience in Golden Gate Setup and uni / bi directional replication
Extensive Experience in installing and managing ASM
Oracle 11g and 12c installation & OEM Grid Software installation
Applying CPU Patches
Database /SQL Performance Tuning
Unix shell scripting
Knowledge of BCV for database backups
Knowledge of Shareplex and Oracle Streams
Experience in working on SNOW (Incident management / Change management) BMC Patrol, Maestro, Avamar
Experience working with Application development team in Release and Deployment Management processes.
Experience managing Oracle databases with Peoplesoft as front end.
Exposure to OS Level replication tools like BCV & SRDF
Strong performance tuning capabilities on Peoplesoft databases
Perform Disaster Recovery tests using Dataguard, Flashback
Demonstrate excellent communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
Ability to use strong industry knowledge to relate to customer needs and dissolve customer concerns and high level of focus and attention to detail.
Strong work ethic with good time management with ability to work with diverse teams and lead meetings
