Job Title: Oracle DBA with MySQL
Location: Oakland , CA
Hiring Mode: Long term Contract (W2 Only) or Fulltime with Encore Software Services.
Start Date: ASAP

Job Description: Primary Skill
1. Backup: Physical vs Logical Backups, Cold vs Hot Backups, Point in Time DB Recovery and Refreshes, MySQL Enterprise Backup, MySQL Dump, Percona Xtrabackup.
2. Performance Monitoring: MySQL Enterprise Monitor. (Install, configure and custom alerts
3. Performance Monitoring: Custom MySQL DB Health Check shell scripts.
4. Performance Monitoring: PHP and MySQL experience (can create DB Health Dashboard
5. DB Tuning: O/S and DB Instance parameters and utilities; Able to identify and resolve DB Instance level performance bottlenecks.
6. SQL Tuning: Identify and Tune Top Slow queries, Able to identify and resolve SQL performance bottlenecks
7. Continuous Availability: HA and DR techniques to provide Continuous Availability of the MySQL DB. Hands-On experience with native MySQL or Third-Party Master-Slave or Master-Master DB Clustering native techniques.
8. AWS experience is plus.
9. SQL Server Experience is a PLUS
