Position Description/Summary:
Work performed by our team enables our client to effectively modernize and sustain the commercial applications and databases that support the supply chain planning function of the enterprise. Team members possess deep domain knowledge as well as analysis skills. This position requires Oracle Enterprise Database Management skills. Selected personnel will interact with Accenture and client counterparts daily and will also attend meetings with senior level clients.

Provides all activities related to the administration of computerized databases. Projects long-range requirements for database administration and design in conjunction with other managers in the information systems function.
Designs, creates, and maintains databases in a client/server environment. Conducts quality control and auditing of databases in a client/server environment to ensure accurate and appropriate use of data. Advises users on access to various client/server databases. Designs, implements, and maintains complex databases with respect to JCL, access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methods. Applies knowledge and experience with database technologies, development methodologies, and front-end /back-end programming languages (e.g., SQL Performs database programming and supports systems design. Includes maintenance of database dictionaries, overall monitoring of standards and procedures, file design and storage, and integration of systems through database design.

Assists in the creation and maintenance of Oracle Enterprise databases required for development, testing, and production applications.
Assists with and performs the capacity planning required to create and maintain Oracle databases.
Performs ongoing analysis and tuning of database instances. Plans and implements procedures for backup and recovery of Oracle databases.
Provides advice on migrations of programs and database changes through the development life cycle.
Advises on Oracle database re-organizations as required to improve performance and ensure maximum availability of the database.
Assists with the definition of standards to ensure that all application design and code is produced with proper integrity, security and performance. The DBA will perform reviews to ensure quality.
Evaluates releases of Oracle and associated tools.
Assists with project planning to ensure that any new product usage or release/upgrade can be performed with minimal impact.
Provides technical support to application development teams.
Enforces and maintains database constraints to ensure integrity of the database.
Assists with impact analysis of any changes proposed or made to the database.
Troubleshoots databases, applications and development tools.

Minimum Position Requirements
Five years'' progressive experience of database query languages such as Oracle, PL SQL, SQL Server, and MS Access
At least three years'' hands-on experience and expertise in Relational Database Management Systems.
Knowledge of operating system(s) such as UNIX, Linux, or Solaris
Knowledge of physical database design
Ability to perform Oracle and operating system performance monitoring
Excellent knowledge of Oracle backup and recovery scenarios
Knowledge and experience with Oracle Enterprise Database tools such as Oracle Enterprise Manager
Experience with migrating code and database changes
Experience also shall include capability to work on various operating systems and additional programming languages.
Experience in at least two projects in a large organization responsible for administering, operating, maintaining, and securing a large-scale computer database.

Certifications/Education:
Security+ or equivalent IAT Level II certification
