Duties:
Skills / Technologies :
· 5-8 years of Oracle DBA experience
· Experience in Production support environment
· Excellent communication skills
· Experience with 10g, 11g & 12C
· Good hands-on Experience in Data-guard, OEM, RAC and RMAN tasks.
· Perform Day-to-day operational tasks that include storage management & security management.
· Experience with Oracle RAC and Oracle grid
· Experience on PL/SQL
· Ability to understand the environment and start supporting it in very short time.
· Good Understanding of ITIL processes
Desired Skills
· Light Architect experience
· Change Management Experience
· Experience with Unix Scripting
· Experience in automation of day-to-day tasks.
Responsibilities:
· This position will primarily be to support databases in production and non-production environments.
· Responsible for ensuring availability and performance of the databases
· Responsible for Database build, upgrade and consolidation
· Responsible for implementation and release of database changes as submitted by the development / change management team
· Ability to interact with development teams, business owners, and various levels of management for troubleshooting any issues.
· Experience with performance tuning and monitoring
· Ensure high availability and performance (will eventually require 24x7 pager support on a rotational basis)
· Experience working as part of a team that delivers a high availability service
· Pro-actively monitor the database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime
· Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases to include application DDL rollout and upgrades
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in the field of Computer Science or Information Systems or a related field.
