Position: Onsite Finance Coordinator
Location: Santa Clara, CA

Job Description
The candidate should ideally be an Enrolled agent/CPA with 3-5 years of experience with hands on knowledge of Sales and use tax laws, Federal Income tax laws, Payroll related taxes, Individual taxation, Property taxes etc. The candidate will report to the Finance controller for the US operations and the job duties will involve:
Liaising with the Revenue Departments for notices/ queries received for sales tax, franchise tax, Unemployment insurance, payroll withholding by co-ordinating with the company’s consultants and tracking and ensuring closure of such notices
Working closely with the team in India and advising them on applicability of sales and use tax on services rendered in various states, keeping a track of returns filed through Avalara portal, ensuring use of proper codes/ rates for sales and use tax
Providing all required data to the consultants for preparation of Federal and state Income tax returns and working closely with consultants for resolving issues, if any
Advising on matters related to withholding taxes on foreign payments including the filing of returns/forms
Responding to employee queries related to payroll and training the team in India to handle such queries
Ensuring that all payroll taxes are deducted and paid at proper rates and within the specified time. Ensuring overall compliance with respect to payroll
Preparing data for filing property tax returns and ensuring complete compliance
Preparing data and ensuring complete compliance for Business and Occupation tax, commercial activity tax returns etc.
Ensuring compliance with respect to business registrations/ renewals.
Reviewing the matters related to Liability Insurance and providing inputs regarding liability insurance and tax withholding matters for potential contracts with customers/vendors
Providing company/ Bank information for vendor/ customer enrollment forms, ACH forms etc.
