Responsibilities and Duties
Seeking a Senior Microsoft Presales Engineer.
This person will be responsible for presales delivery and deal creation of Microsoft Enterprise Solutions to our customers for implementation, integration and migration projects.
Presales engagements will include but not limited to presenting, whiteboard sessions, defining opportunity scope, and technical proposal creation.
Potential candidates are required to have experience working effectively with customers, vendors, account managers and project managers.
Individuals should have an established track record serving as a customer advocate and technology advisor.
Keeping up-to-date with manufacturer study and certifications are an absolute must.
This professional must have experience with Microsoft enterprise production environments and be able to leverage past experiences using industry best practices/standards to efficiently architect and implement customers systems.
The engineer will be a critical part of diverse Engineering team, whose mission is to become a trusted advisor to our clients.
Customer focused communication is critical to success in this position including a clear understanding of business processes and challenges.
This position is responsible for recommending cost-saving and forward-thinking solutions through business process re-architecture and/or new technology.
Candidates should be confident in gaining access to customers’ future direction and technology roadmap in order to properly pair solutions with customers’ goals and expectations.
This engineer will be a recognized expert in Active Directory architecture, Microsoft Exchange, and
Systems Management, and will be required to understand the direction and role these systems play in a
cohesive environment to provide recommendations of timelines, risks, security and value for customer
adoption.
This person will also coordinate with other engineering teams on enterprise projects such as
networking and security, enterprise storage, software development, systems integration and virtualization to deliver wide ranging solutions.

Minimum 5 years of customer-facing presales experience

Creation of written proposals and RFP responses
Minimum 5 years of experience implementing and integrating Microsoft solutions in a consulting capacity.
MCITP or MCSE for Windows Server, Messaging or System Management
Demonstrated extensive knowledge of design, implementation, migration and transition to
Exchange 2010/2013/2016 and Office365 from previous versions or competitive products.
Demonstrated advanced knowledge of High Availability, Business Continuity, Message Hygiene and Disaster Recovery concepts and technologies for Messaging solutions.
Demonstrated experience in designing storage solutions based on best practices for Messaging solutions on NetApp, EMC or HP.
Demonstrated extensive knowledge of design, implementation, migration and transition of Windows 2003, 2008, 2012 Active Directory from previous versions and/or competitive products.
Demonstrated advanced knowledge of design, implementation, migration and transition of System Center 2007/2010/2012.
Demonstrated extensive knowledge of Azure Site Recovery, Azure Database, and Azure Operations Management.
Demonstrated extensive knowledge of DHCP, DNS and WINS Management.
Demonstrated extensive knowledge of Active Directory Federation Services, Single Sign-On and
Multi-Factor Authentication.
Demonstrated extensive knowledge of Virtualization utilizing Hyper-V or VMWare where related to Microsoft technologies.
Demonstrated extensive knowledge of Windows desktop deployment technologies for Windows XP/7/8/10.
Demonstrated experience in scripting, utilizing PowerShell, and/or VB.
Ability to work independently or as a team player and mentor/motivate junior engineers.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Excellent organizational, analytical, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills.
Ability to work with customers on setting expectations and cross pollinate opportunities within our other portfolio offerings.
