Work as part of a project team developing and supporting code for internal and external systems in a .NET environment.
Adhere to established coding standards and adopt to the software development methodologies.
Work with other developers and project leads to ensure software design meets business requirements.
Analyze technical requirements and pursue solutions to improve performance and achieve business objectives.
Able to work independently and as part as a team to support multiple systems/projects. Effective oral and written communication skills a must.
Manage system/project schedules properly as to meet deadlines.
Participate in all aspects of software development including design, implementation, testing and error correction.
Analyze existing systems / processes and recommend changes / enhancements as needed. Adapt to new technology.
Create and maintain source code / system documentation; including training and support materials.
Troubleshoot code, data, and technical problems. Demonstrate excellent problem solving skills.
Research and learn new software and technologies, provide management with recommendations as needed.
Communicate with end users concerning technical problems and system enhancements; provide training and support as needed.
Demo interfaces to end users and/or management upon request.
Review code from other staff members and provide guidance, support, and training as needed.
Rotating On-Call Support and occasional weekend support is also required.
Provide project estimates for GANTT charts maintained by management.

Specific Requirements / Functions:
Requires strong SQL / PL-SQL / Tuning and other database programming skills.
Develop database objects such as packages, stored procedures, triggers, functions, views and cursors.
Perform performance tuning services for PL/SQL applications. Understand and gain expertise with data structures and their usage.
Strong understanding of relational databases, normalized data structures, and ER diagrams. Experience with Advanced Queues.

Qualifications
4 year computer science/engineering degree
7+ years'' overall Oracle programming experience
