Job Description :
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
Install/configure/troubleshoot OpenText Content Suite (OTCS) including Content Server search engine, which may be in a clustered environment with multi-index partitioned indexing configuration.
2. System maintenance (patching/hotfixes/upgrades/updates) and provisioning of servers, additional storage e.g. for the purpose of extending environment(s) if/when needed.
3. Install and configure additional applications/modules, if/when required, including server provisioning and/or other prerequisites.
4. Monitor/manage and troubleshoot Content Server System i.e.: Indexes, System logs, notifications, audit capabilities, recovering documents, Active Directory synchronization and system errors and alerts and assisting with identification of database problems.
5. Manage system performance by working with the network and server team as required.
6. System backup management (backups definition/testing/scheduling and monitoring Working with team(s) to ensure the backup and recovery of OTCS, document stores, indexes, databases, OTDS are configured, scheduled and tested.
7. Provide assistance to the team to design, control access to, and maintain user environments.
8. Perform periodic sizing and scaling assessment with respect to system usage, performance/throughput storage capacity in the context of current technical architecture design of Content Server environments and recommendation for change, should any be needed given assessment results.
9. Create/configure/manage OpenText Content Suite OTCS groups/group membership and other configurations such as folder structure, attributes, and permissions. Porting of configuration from one environment to another.
10. Act as point of contact for customer and vendor. Work with software vendors’
technical support and customers to resolve issues.
11. Interface with the Help Desk regarding system issues; troubleshooting, reporting of issues/tickets creation or closing.
12. Provide weekly status reports to team lead for assigned tasks and projects.
13. Develop technical documentation associated with the above.
14. Transfer technical expertise and knowledge to ISD staff.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. Three (3) years of experience within the last five (5) years as a systems administrator installing, configuring, and maintaining OpenText (OT) software.
2. Three (3) years of experience within the last five (5) years as a systems administrator installing, configuring, and maintaining OT Content Server, OT Directory Services, OT Brava!, and Archive Center.
3. One (1) of year experience within the last three (3) years as a systems administrator installing, configuring, and maintaining OT extended ECM (xECM) software.
4. One (1) year of experience as a systems administrator installing, configuring, and maintaining JBoss and Tomcat software.
5. Two (2) years of experience within the last five (5) years as a systems administrator in programming Linux and/or Windows scripts to automate system maintenance tasks.
