Job Description :
As an OFP Assembly Manufacturing Engineer you will be planning, coordinating and performing manufacturing engineering OFP activities for current product, continuous improvement programs, and working on small to mid-size projects.

In addition, you will:
Provide Assembly ME support and basic trouble shooting for current operations. Investigates gather and analyze data for identifying root cause for assembly issues for current processes.
Establish routings, Work-planner, layouts, tooling, assembly costs, Operator Methods Sheets, control plans for revisions to current operations and/or running changes for current product.
Identifies and implements cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas for assembly operations in departments above.
Works with SAP, Work-planner, OMS to perform engineering functions.
Designs cell layouts to improve material flow and material presentation in all their areas. - Trouble shoot bill of materials
Concept tool and fixture designs including sourcing their design and build with external service providers.

Skills Required:
Experience in one or more related engineering areas: industrial, production, methods, reliability, design, manufacturing, quality
Good knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality, tooling, tool design, total preventative maintenance and facilities
Experience with engineering tools, systems and databases (SAP, Work -planner, JDAAT, JDTester)
Experience with line and process design, material presentation, cycles of imbalance and visual management tools
Experience working with Computer Aided Design concepts and Computer Aided Process Planning concepts.
Knowledge of quality tools (PFMEA/control plans/KC control/SPC) and assembly manufacturing.

Required Skills:
3-5 years of Engineering experience (preferably in assembly)
Experience with AutoCAD, and Creo View software.
Experience with Work-planner work instruction and OMS development.
Experience with MES systems and tooling
Experience implementing engineering changes
Experience working in a production environment
2 or more years of OFP manufacturing engineering experience at John Deere
1-3 years of experience with shop floor manufacturing, incentive pay systems such as CIPP (Continuous Improvement Pay Plan) and work measurement
Work Experience within a union environment Education (or equivalent work experience)
Bachelor Degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering Off-shift position - Hours 10:30pm-7am Metatarsals required for first day.
