Job Title: - Network wireless Engineer
Location: East Peoria, IL
Duration: 12+ Months Contract
Rate:$40/hr on C2C all inlcuisve
Typical Day
On a typical day, the analyst will respond to, investigate, and resolve incident tickets assigned to the Network Support incident queue. Investigation of service outages with the Cisco network controllers and access points and associated operating software. As assigned, will configure and install new or replacement controllers and access points to support enterprise upgrades, expansions, or additions. Working hours are flexible. A lot of individual work with the occasional team meeting. Occasional off shift and weekend work will be required as well as on call support on a rotational basis.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor''s degree in computer science or equivalent training required. 5-6 years experience required
Technical Skills
Required: -An in-depth understanding of both Cisco wireless and wired network technology is essential with knowledge of 802.11 (a,b,g,n,ac) wireless networking, 802.1x, 802.11i, EAP, TTLS, TKIP, Radius, and radio frequency communication principals, required -Knowledge of wireless site surveys using AirMagnet toolset, Cisco equipment configuration, implementation, and support, required -TCP/IP fundamentals (VLSM/CIDR), Ethernet, QoS, IP Subnetting, Cabling (copper & fiber), OSPF, VLAN Trunking, VLANs, and switching configuration. - 5-6 years of experience, required
Desired Qualifications: -Cisco Certified Network Associate. -Cisco Wireless Network Administrator -Knowledge of Risk Domains, Tiered Domains, Ethernet, QoS, IP. Differentiation Factor: Years of Experience
