Job Description :
These two positions will be primarily involved in the roll-out of new data switches in their corresponding areas of the state. Travel to all state agencies within their areas of the state will be required.

* please note the technician located in Madisonville/Hopkinsville area needs to have some telephony background if at all possible

Responsibilities include:

Design, implement and perform day-to-day support of network infrastructure and appliances.

Collaborate with other engineers and operations teams in resolving network issues.

Directly contribute to overall technical architecture, stability, resiliency and general health related to network solutions.



Basic Qualifications:

Demonstrated IP Networking experience

Ability to work a flexible, off-hours schedule to accommodate customer maintenance windows

On-call availability after normal business hours

Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team environment





A successful candidate should possess the following configuration and troubleshooting knowledge and abilities:



Experience IPV4 Addressing and Subnetting, Routing – Static and Dynamic and Common TCP/UDP Protocols

VPN - IPSEC / SSL

NAT- Static / Dynamic

Switching – Vlan Trunking Protocol/Spanning Tree Protocol

Common Router functions (DHCP, SNMP, Syslogs)

Remote troubleshooting and diagnosis of network connectivity issues

Working with a variety of customers and vendors (some technical, some non-technical)
