This positions responsibilities include the administration, support, and architecture of all data networks throughout the enterprise.This position will provide 3rd level technical support for all local and wide area networks with a primary focus on Security and Load balancing solutions.Provide support for business projects that require telecommunications.This position provides 24 x 7 support with an on-call rotation. (Minimal calls expected to occur during this rotation)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Network architecture and troubleshooting, focused on Security/Load Balancing/Wireless (respectively)
2. Analyze business needs and designs, install and support network infrastructure services which includes:

Deriving and evaluating network/service architecture alternatives
Designing new services, infrastructure segments or other network solutions
Creating design diagrams and design documentation
Implementing services, infrastructure enhancements and changes
Creating operational turnover documentation, diagrams and training material
Auditing the network for infrastructure issues or opportunities for enhancement

3. Provide expertise in creating and troubleshooting WAN connectivity through routers, and switches
4. Responsible for evaluating network architecture and hardware/software configurations for security vulnerabilities and creating secure systems
5. Monitoring intranet, extranet, and internet systems for security threats
6. Installs and maintains LAN/WAN hardware and software technologies
7. Configures and installs routers and switches in accordance with company standards
8. Troubleshoots network usage and peripheral issues, resolve connectivity issues and maintains data and telecommunication connections

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:
1. In depth knowledge of IP Routing, Ethernet Switching, VPN''s, Security, QoS, Remote/Local Access, WAN, Optical Networking, IP Services, Multicast, geographical and/or local server load balancing.
2. Specific knowledge of the following:

Cisco ASA Firewalls
F5 Load Balancers
Cisco switches and routers (6509, Nexus 7K, 3850, 26xx, 29xx, etc)
WLAN experience required with heavy routing and switching Internet Protocol, OSPF, Spanning Tree and QoS experience required

3. Proven track record managing enterprise networks in a changing environment
4. Solid understanding of change management and repeatable/best practices within telecommunications
5. Ability to interface with business and technical management
6. Excellent written and verbal communications skills
7. Excellent team building and negotiation skills
8. Ability to respond well to change and manage change.
9. Must be able to work after hours to provide on-call support on a rotating basis.
10. Pluses would include: Knowledge of MPLS networks, network security, network architecture best practices.
