Network Security Engineer

6-12 months

Immediate start – anticipate 11/20 start date

Interview process – Phone and 2nd phone or Skype

Location: Holmdale NJ / Bethlehem PA (Flexibility to be able to work from either site- 1 hour+ apart. GLIC will reimburse for travel between locations when there are meetings to attend. They can pick which locations they want to work in primarily.

We have a 2 day exclusive on this with Guardian so want to get them vetted candidates by this Wednesday.

Guardian is looking to bring on a Network Security Engineering resource for a 6-12 month right to hire. This person should be a self-starter with the ability to hit the ground running and add value quickly.

Guardian’s environment is current Checkpoint, but will be converted to Cisco in Q1 of 2018. The primary focus of this person is to support the day to day network security needs of the ecosystem from both an engineering and an operational stand point.

Technical Requirements:

Good working knowledge (and experience) supporting traditional as well as Private and Public cloud mixed environments is a must as they migrate from EMC/NetApp to AWS over the next 3 years.

5-7 year experience in a Cisco centric environment.
Proficient with Cisco ASA
5-7 year working knowledge of Checkpoint Firewalls
Understanding cloud security initiatives
Enterprise Threat Management - incident response management through ETM Proxy.
ISE experience
Familiar (working knowledge of) Splunk in order to pull reports and dashboards.
